The University of Michigan is the academic home for undergraduate students from the United States and all over the world. Undergraduate and graduate students come here from 129 countries. In 2007, the total number of international students was 4,909; of these, 1,266 were international undergraduates. We believe strongly that diversity promotes freedom of thought, innovation and creativity, and a broader spectrum of learning.
