Housing
Most freshmen coming to the University choose to live in the residence halls. Residence halls provide lounges, study areas, libraries, computer rooms, laundry facilities, and dining halls. The residence hall is popular because it provides an opportunity to get to know many other students in a small-group environment.

Michigan Learning Communities
“Living and Learning” opportunities are the choice of many students who prefer a small-group setting within the University. These unique experiences enable students to focus on their students within a small, supportive community. MLCs are composed of students and faculty who are drawn together by shared goals and common intellectual interests. Some are residential, and some are focused around academics, research, or social and cultural activities.
