Non-traditional Students
If you have not attended high school for more than five years and are looking to obtain a bachelor's degree and have not taken any college courses, you will be applying as a freshman student and will need to complete an application. We do not require letters of recommendation from a high school teacher or high school counselor for those students who have been out of high school for five or more years. However, you are free to submit letters from a teacher or counselor, or from a current contact who can speak to your potential as an undergraduate student. If you did take the SAT or ACT in high school you will need to have the scores sent directly from the testing agency to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. If you did not take the SAT or ACT tests while in high school we do not require the scores. We require all official high school transcripts (and G.E.D. results, if applicable) be sent directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions from your high school. If you attended more than one high school, we need the official transcripts sent from each high school. If you took any college course work after high school you will have to apply as a transfer student.
