Visit Campus

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In alignment with public health guidelines, our campus information sessions and tours are cancelled through December 2020. However, we will be holding many virtual events for prospective students this summer and fall and families should check back for opportunities to engage with our admissions staff. Our Virtual Resources page offers many ways to discover more about Michigan. In the meantime, prospective students and families with questions may contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions via phone, live chat, or email.

U-M offers several visit options — including prospective freshman visits, transfer visits, special group visits, and bus tours — to answer your questions about everything from the value of a Michigan education to the basics about financial aid.

Prospective freshmen and their families can attend our Information Session and central campus walking tour, offered several times weekly. Transfer students can register for our Transfer Tuesdays, an Information Session and central campus walking tour designed just for them.

Information sessions are 45-minute presentations given by one of our knowledgeable and helpful admissions counselors. After that, you will embark on a 90-minute walking tour of central campus guided by a friendly current undergraduate student. The tour will show you this campus in close-up detail and give you the opportunity to feel the Wolverine spirit that lingers in the air in nearly every corner of campus.

Information Sessions and Tours
We offer two kinds of information sessions and tours, one designed for prospective freshmen, and another for transfer students. Your visit is the perfect time to get a feel for our distinct culture, learn about our world-class academics, speak with current students and faculty, and experience our beautiful campus and vibrant Ann Arbor.
Transfer Tuesdays
Students interested in learning more about transferring to the University are invited to register for Transfer Tuesdays (held monthly). Transfer Tuesdays provide opportunities to learn about financial aid, credit transfers, and admissions requirements.
